Why did Modi remove the CBI head who was about to start an investigation in the Rafale deal?

As per the law, CBI cannot investigate anything unless the Central Government notifies that case.[As per the Act CBI can investigate only with notification by the Central Government]

So how was Alok Verma going to investigate a case which was not even notified by the government?

Further, if we assume Alok Verma was going to do it on his own then a question arises how come it come in public domain?

A CBI officer’s utmost responsibility is secrecy and so he being the Director failed to maintain integrity and secrecy.

Next question is on whose complaint was he to start an investigation?

Prashant Bhushan, Arun Shourie, and Yashwant Sinha had been meeting Alok Verma of late in private. So a CBI chief starts an investigation on mere hearsay of a private individual when even SC has decided not to go into Rafale’s price and technical details.

So if a CBI chief can start an investigation on hearsay of a lawyer he meets in private than what prudence he possesses?

Now coming to the truth. CBI Director and his deputy were logging their heads for quite long. They had filed cases against each other of having taken bribes from Moen Qureshi who was being investigated by CBI.

Alok Verma was transferring all officers close to Asthana. Asthana had complained to CVC about Alok Verma’s alleged bribery. CVC was seeking a response from Alok Verma for more than a month but he was not responding.

CBI was divided in groups and working against each other. The only people to benefit from this mess were: the crooks whom CBI was investigating. CBI's reputation would have fallen further if the mess was unchecked.

Before this mess got murkier the Center intervened and sent both the No 1 and No 2 on leave.

But why both? Why not only Asthana? Or Why not only Alok Verma?

Sending only one on leave would have been complete prejudice to another as the one remaining would have easily influenced the investigation. CVC has clearly said both will be reinstated if found innocent.

Only CVC posses the power to investigate the CBI chief and so it set up a SIT to do so. Today SC refused to overturn the decision of CVC but has set a deadline of 14 days to complete the investigation and appointed a retired judge to oversee it.

Its sheer irony that all those who opposed and went to the court against the appointment of Alok Verma are opposing his leave (to ensure fair investigation)

It is to be noted that Modi govt appointed him as Delhi commissioner and later CBI chief. So he is no less Modi’s man.

Nowadays Rahul and his cabal are linking anything and everything to Rafale.

Even if Modi will send his servant on leave, it is because he got hold of Rafale papers while sweeping.

If you get caught by police for anything just cry loud that you have got Rafale papers and Rahul Gandhi and his cabal will get you free.

#रिक्शावाला ओ.. रिक्शा वाले!  राजू जोर से चिल्लाया आधे घंटे से खडे हर रिक्शेवाले को रोक रहा था।  कारण मेट्रो स्टेशन से घरतक 30 रु लगते ओर तकरीबन हर रिक्शेवाला 50 मांग रहा था।  जो भी रिक्शा रोकता राजू वही 30 देने को कहता मगर रिक्शावाला आखिर 40 तआता मगर आज राजू भी ठान चुका था वो 30से  एक रु फालतू नही देगा मगर इसी जिद के चलते बहुत रिक्शेवाले आगे बढ जाते।  अचानक उसे एक रिक्शा दिखा ओए रिक्शा ..जोर से आवाज दी उसने और आँखों में चमक आ गई रिक्शा उसकी ओर ही आ रहा था एक दुबला पतला सा बूढ़ा मैली कुचैली कमीज पहने आ खड़ा हुआ -कहा चलना है बाबूजी, राजू राजापुरी चलना है चलोगे , हां बाबूजी काहे नहीं चलेंगे कितना लोगे राजू ने पुराना सवाल दागा। रिक्शे वाले ने कहा - अरे साहब जो होता हो दे दीजिएगा राजू नेे झट बैग रिक्शे पर रखा रूमाल से पसीना पोछा और धम से बैठ गया रिक्शे पर रिक्शेवाला धीरे-धीरे पैडल मारने लगा रिक्शा धीमी रफ्तार से बढ़ने लगा।  आराम से बैठे राजू सोच रहा था पिछली बार 25 रू ही तो किराए के देता था तीन महीने में 5 रु थोड़े बढ़ जाएगा 25 रूपए ही दूंगा उसने...
